The euphoria didnt last long because the Americans didnt trust the Soviet Unions leader Josef Stalin. Communism became an imediate threat. The soviets lost more lives then anywhere else during WW2, Stalin wanted compensation for the damages to russia. The united states was unwilling to stay idle while totalitarianism spread throughout the soviet union, starting the Cold War. The middle east was involved in the cold war aswell.

From eastern europe to china and korea, the Truman administration was beset with the challenges of stopping of communism. president Turman set the path for the next eight presidents for the cold war.

The euphoria of winning WW2 was short lived due to the threat of communism in europe from the powerhouse U.S.S.R. (Russia).
Joseph Stalin the leader in the U.S.S.R. at the time believes in making communism a dominate government in europe. He also want's to create a so called "Iron Curtain" to make sure the U.S.S.R. could never be attacked again. At the same time America is attempting to turn Japan into a democratic country along with build a new stable democratic government in Germany.

Euphoria did not last long because there were too many people dying. They could not last long. Communism became a threat to the world because it challenged South Korea to all the forces of the North. More eastern Europeans went in for more war. The Americans did not want to sit back and let the war happen without them. United States did not trust Stalin's communist government. President Truman set the direction for the next eight presidents with the announcement of the containment policy. But at the end the Americans would be triumphant in the Cold War.

The euphoria couldn't last long because even though the U.S. and the Soviet Union were allies, because the U.S. distrusted Josef Stalin. Communist countries became an immediate threat after the war. The U.S. began to collide with South Korea. Global peace was not possible because Stalin planned to takeover Eastern European countries. Aside from Russia the U.S. was focusing on diplomacy for South Korea.

The reason that the euphoria was so short is because Joeseph Stalin was angry that the Soviets lost more citizen lives than any other nation. The US distrusted Stalin because he was a communist country and the USSR had started expanding west after WWII. This started a cold war that no country was safe from. Not only did the cold war start, but 5 years after WWII, American troops had to go to South Korea to stop the northern communist side. There were also problems for the US with Berlin and China. The cold war mattered to the US more than any foreign policy. All of this ruined the great feeling of winning World War Two.

Josef Stalin was determined to receive compensation for damages and guarantees that such a slaughter could never again plague the Soviet people. The united states was not willing to sit aside. The took action and became part of the cold war.

Etopia didn't last long because the U.S. distrusted stallin's communist government. The soviate union wanted to take over countries in Europe when the war was over. The reason he wanted to do this is because he didn't want any more U.S.S.R. Casualties. thats what began the Cold War ,and it was going to be another world war.

The War ended short because American army & navy were the most powerful in the world, & none of the americans trusted Hitler. Communism became a threat. The middle eastern countries collided, Stalins plan was to take over the eastern european countries after the war. The Us was focusing on the korea.

The eurphoria of winning WWII was short lived for many reasons. Although the United States and the Soviet Union were allies during the war, there was still distrust. Not only was Joseph Stalin's communist government a threat but also China and Korea. In the last half of the 1940's the United States was plaqued with Communist Witch Hunts. Only increasing the distrust between the two countries. while America and its Allies struggled to keep communism from spreading and capitalism growing. Other countries were effected by the"Dominoe Effect". Vietnam, Korea and others became divided countries. Although no direct military action was taken by the United States and the Soviet Union. The Cold War cost billions of dollars and millions of lives lost in the fight.
