Create an effective extended response on the following prompt:

After tracing the movement of The United States throughout the Pacific, how was their involvement pivotal to the allied forces during WWII? Think about each battle in the Pacific and the course of The U.S. from Pearl Harbor towards Japan. Thinking about what was being used besides Naval ships; what was important about each island?

The islands were important to the war because, the Japanese were building a airstrip to send there planes to other distant country's. It was important for the U.S because without the islands they would not be able to send bombers to Japan. Also if the Japanese had control of the islands, they would be able to send more planes to attack U.S navy ships.

After tracing the movement of the U.S. through the Pacific their involvement was pivotal to the allied forces during WWII because the U.S. was basically a provider of weapons. Without the U.S. weapons and forces the allied forces wouldn't have been able to take over the philippines. However once the Japanese learned about the weapons going across the Pacific they bombed pearl harbor, which got the U.S. involved in the war.

After tracing the movement of the U.S the Japanese began to build an airstrip the send out their planes. this was a big deal to the U.S because the Japanese would have a fortress that would be impossible to break down. The U.S wouldn't be able to to send their ships or aircrafts threw there, thus the Japanese would have won the pacific war because, the Japanese would be able to send out all there ships and planes to attack the U.S but the U.S couldn't do the same to them.

The United States was pivotal to WW2 because without their involvement the allies wouldn't be enough to win the war. What was the importance of winning each battle at each island is the battles got closer and closer to Japans forces and all of these locations had air strips in which both sides of the war was in need of. The United States island hopped from the pearl harbor battle which was out in the water to the battle of midway and went on to other battles. Every time they island hopped they got closer to Japan. In this case they needed to be more fierce in fighting for the land and the resources needed.

If the United States wasn't in the war then there would not be enough allied forces in the Pacific to win the war. Every battle was important to take over each island, so the United States would be closer to Japan. It was also important, so that the U.S. would have air strips so they could land and refuel and take off. The U.S. was island hoping, from Pearl Harbor to Guadalcanal to Guam to Leyte Gulf to Iwo Jima to Okinawa until they got to Japan

The main things being used other then ships were airplanes, bombers and such. On all the islands effected they had airstrips and were closer to Japan. This way if the U.S. captured the islands back and then we would be closer to Japan. After we would do this they wouldn't be able to use the airstrips to get to the U.S. and try bombing. It would be a lot more difficult for them to try to do this.

The U.S's involvement was pivotal to the Allied forces during WWII because they provided more weapons, ships, planes, and armies. It gave the allied forces more power and more room to work with. They could use the islands owned by the U.S for docks for ships and planes. The Allied forces could protect themselves easier.

The United States' involvement in the battles throughout the Pacific was very important in WWII. Japan was an Axis power, while the United States joined the Allied forces. With the United States moving through the Pacific, the Allies could be closer to Japan. Japan was a very strong country that the Allies wanted to gain control of. The U.S. took control over more than 5 Pacific Island countries on the way to Japan, which gave them an advantage over Japan. At the Battle of Midway, the U.S. ambushed Japan, then, in the battles of Guadalcanal, Guam, Leyte Gulf, Iwogima, and Okinawa, they wanted control of the airstrips. The airstrips were important because they were close to Japan, making air strike attacks much easier for the U.S..

The involvement of the United States in the battles fought throughout the Pacific was important to the allied forces in WWII. During the war, the United states were part of the allied forces, and Japan was an axis power. The United States moved through the Pacific, which helped the allies get closer to Japan. This was important to the allies because they wanted to take over Japan and control it. As the United States moved from Pearl Harbor during the war, they took over other Pacific territories, which gave them an advantage of taking over Japan because they were closer to Japan, and they gained more experience. During this war, other forms of attack were also used at the different islands that the United States took over. These islands were important to the U.S. because of their airstrips. The United States wanted to use the airstrips so attacking Japan would be much easier.

The U.S being apart of the was helped the allies alot, the U.S planned very well and was prepared for the battle. They used very good techniques. The attack at Pearl Harbor was what lead us into the was. General Douglas Mac Arthur was the general who lead the U.S in the Battle of Pacific. The Gauda Canal, August 7, 1942, was important because they had an air base that they U.S could use. Guam, July 21, 1942, was important because it was U.S land until Japan took it over right after pearl harbor, we took it back. Leyte gulf, October 20, 1944, was just to get closer to japan. We went early so that we could take them by surprise. We had 1,600 soldiers in this battle. Iwo Jima, February 1945,. was a 36 day battle. Okinawa, 1945, was the gateway to japan. We had 50,000 soldiers in this battle.

The United States involvement was pivotal to the allied forces because at that point in the war, the Japanese seemed invincible, but as the U.S. started defeating the Japanese, the allied forces got hope. Also, a big part of the Pacific War was the U.S. success in the air. Because of their advantage in the air, they were able to win back their islands that Japan had taken over, and in turn prevent Japan from building air strips.

The United States involvement was pivotal to the allied forces. And this was because, with in this point of war the Japanese seemed undefeatable. But the United States started to beat Japan which gave the Allied forces hope. A large part in this war were the air fields. Our advantage was the air. We were able to take back our islands Japan stole. We took over five pacific islands.

The U.S. involvement was pivotal to the allied forces because it allowed them to use more weapons, ships, and fighter planes. The U.S. was very successful while bombing Japan. With the help of the U.S. in the war at the beginning with all the weapons they was trading.. It allowed the axis powers to have more to work with. The islands allowed the U.S to be able to successfully bomb to other nations. The islands were VERY effective.

After the movements by the U.S. throughout the pacific their involvement was pivital to the allied forces because they helped to provide weapons and other needs during the war. Each island that the U.S. fought in helped to bring them closer to Japan. Besides naval ships the U.S. used the islands land strips to help aid their attack against Japan.
